The entire scope of Dynamics 365 Retail is included in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Microsoft Dynamics Retail is a retail trading tool, offering standardised trading via different channels. The real bonus is that this software can be wholly integrated. Various channels can therefore be managed from a single software tool. There’s no longer any need to use interfaces transmitting uniform master data from the ERP system.
The POS app from Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is made for PCs, tablets and PC-based checkouts. Sales staff can process sales bookings and customer orders, carry out customer activities, everyday tasks and manage the warehouse. Only a browser is needed to activate the POS checkout.
Administration tasks are conducted completely in Microsoft Dynamics 365 – such as the hardware profile or the set-up for retail peripheral devices used at the checkout, the business the checkout is assigned to, the visual interface for the user registering at this checkout, as well as functions activated for the checkout. You also determine whether the checkout is to be operated offline or online.
Categories, images, videos of the article and other master data are all generated and maintained within Microsoft Dynamics 365. The ERP system determines exclusively which attributes are then listed in the POS. There’s no longer any need for an interface or dual administration of master data.
Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations to decide which evaluations are to be accessed in the POS app. Whether you’re dealing with daily turnovers, sales per checkout or the product with the highest sales, there are no limits to your evaluations. But that’s not all. The wholly integrated Business Intelligence app (Power BI) included in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations can collate and evaluate all sales, even from different channels.
All bookings carried out at the checkout are stored immediately in the ERP system, thanks to the completely integrated Retail App in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations. Subsequent ERP system operations are fully automated. Carrying out correct bookings in financial accounting, reducing inventories and updating any possible requirements for the company’s own production or the supplier.
