Consultant & Senior Project Manager NPO

What's your ambition?

If you have the feeling you’re standing still, change something. Change yourself.

Consultant & Senior Project Manager NPO

Your ambition – our mission.

As a leading Microsoft partner with a strong focus on the non-profit sector, we support organisations across the charitable sector, including associations, foundations, churches, political parties and clubs, on their journey towards digital transformation.

What drives us: digital solutions that support people, make a real difference and strengthen organisations in the long term.

At the Ambit Group, we design AI-powered, integrated digital solutions that strengthen non-profit organisations in the long term and effectively support their mission. Instead of isolated standard solutions, we implement end-to-end processes on the Microsoft platform that map the entire funding and impact cycle – from fundraising and resource acquisition through projects and programmes to the transparent use of funds. In this way, we create transparency, enable efficient resource management and support organisations in fulfilling their social mission in a sustainable, scalable and future-proof manner – including AI-powered analytics and automation.

We are working on:

  • integrated NPO solutions based on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
  • Seamless end-to-end processes throughout the entire impact cycle – from fundraising and resource acquisition through project and programme management to transparent use of funds
  • Digitalisation and automation of core NPO operational and administrative processes – including reporting, record-keeping and management
  • System, data and platform integrations (e.g. CRM, financial systems, specialist applications, portals)
  • Extensions and customisations of existing business applications, in particular Dynamics 365
  • Scalable, maintainable and governance-compliant solution architectures, increasingly supplemented by AI-supported analytics, automation and assistance functions

We are looking for individuals who not only manage projects, but also take responsibility, design solutions, empower project members and enable genuine social impact.
Do you value a role with a high level of client contact, where you play a central role in challenging projects within the non-profit sector?

Then you’ve come to the right place. We are looking for someone who understands organisations, inspires people, builds trust and leads projects to success with technical depth, structure and enthusiasm.

We make ambition work.

As a Consultant & Senior Project Manager in the NPO sector, you will take end-to-end responsibility for challenging digitalisation projects – from the initial idea through to design and implementation, right through to a fully operational solution.

You move confidently between client consulting, solution design and project management. In doing so, you rarely work with fully formulated requirements, but instead address key questions in agile implementations such as:

  • How can processes be digitised in such a way that they function sustainably in day-to-day work?
  • How do you translate complex business requirements into a scalable and robust technical solution?
  • How can systems and data be connected to create end-to-end processes and consistent data flows?
  • How can solutions be developed that deliver real benefits today, are maintainable in the long term and enable future AI-supported scenarios?

You will work closely with clients as well as with Consulting, Solution Design and Engineering, and bear overall responsibility for projects and solutions – in terms of subject matter, technology and organisation.

You will:

  • manage and take responsibility for end-to-end, complex NPO digitalisation projects based on the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and Microsoft Business Applications (CE and FI)
  • analyse business, organisational and technical requirements in collaboration with clients and translate them into robust, future-proof solution architectures
  • Lead interdisciplinary project teams comprising consultants, developers and architects, providing both technical and methodological guidance
  • Shape architecture and solution decisions in collaboration with Solution Architects – with a focus on scalability, governance and long-term usability
  • Design digital processes, automations and bespoke applications across the entire impact cycle – from fundraising and resource acquisition through project and programme management to the transparent use of funds
  • Orchestrating and taking responsibility for system, data and platform integrations (e.g. CRM, financial systems, specialist processes, portals)
  • Taking responsibility for scope, budget, schedule and quality
  • Providing clients at all levels with functional, technical and strategic advice
  • Supporting pre-sales activities and presenting solution approaches convincingly

One day you might be discussing objectives and process architecture with a client. The next, you could be setting up a project or guiding a team through a critical phase of the project. You then oversee the implementation right through to go-live – and ensure that the solution works effectively in day-to-day operations and delivers the desired results.

What’s your ambition?

We are looking for individuals who take a holistic approach to digitalisation and are willing to take on responsibility – professionally, technically and personally.

You will bring:

  • strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • a high degree of personal responsibility and a clear hands-on approach
  • experience in stakeholder and expectation management within complex project environments
  • the ability to bridge business and IT perspectives
  • a structured, solution-oriented working style
  • a confident, persuasive manner at all levels – from specialist departments to senior management

Experience in areas such as the following is particularly relevant:

  • Leading IT or digitalisation projects
  • Consulting experience in customer-focused environments
  • Working with Dynamics 365 or comparable business applications
  • Process digitalisation and end-to-end automation
  • System integration, APIs and data flows
  • Project or consultancy work involving high levels of client contact and responsibility

Additional experience with the following is an advantage:

  • the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI)
  • Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Azure, cloud architectures or integration platforms
  • Data models, governance, scaling and long-term operation of solutions
  • Agile collaboration and team leadership contexts
  • Expertise in core NPO processes

Das macht Arbeiten bei uns besonders:

  • Annual working hours model based on a 40-hour week
  • 5–6 weeks’ holiday, plus flexible holiday options.
  • Security through comprehensive benefits and parental leave with 100% continued pay.
  • Personalised professional development and genuine career progression opportunities.
  • A modern working environment, remote working options and workation opportunities.
  • A supportive team culture, flat hierarchies and team events.
